The Fugoo Bluetooth Speaker has six symmetrically-placed drivers. Fugoo Bluetooth speakers were constructed to provide premium sound and rugged durability no matter what you throw its way. Unlike the competition which only contains a total of four speakers, Fugoo features six speakers - two tweeters, two woofers, and two passive radiators – with four active drivers. Additionally, Fugoo speakers are tilted upwards at an eight degree angle to ensure that you hear your music the way it was intended to be heard.

The inclusion of two passive radiators allows listeners to get the most sound out of their speakers. It’s a little known fact that as much sound is generated from the back of a speaker as from the front, and without these passive radiators, you’re not taking full advantage of the power of your speaker. Fugoo’s air-tight core brings you this typically lost "backside" sound through the passive radiators that respond to the sound pressure of the mid-woofers' motion.
Magnetic ferrofluid in the tweeters creates a fluid but physical connection between the speaker and the permanent neodymium magnet to use the magnet and surrounding structure as a heat sink. It also provides a slight damping effect on the voice coil to minimise unwanted acoustic resonance.
To produce the best possible sound it’s imperative that the signal path of your music is maintained throughout the transfer process. Converting a digital signal too early translates to sound quality that is far less than ideal. With Fugoo's Core-X technology, the path from your music files to the amplifier that drives the speakers is entirely digital. From the origin of the files and the way they are transmitted, to the way they pass through the speaker towards the digital signal processor, your files stay in their original state, ensuring pure, premium sound. Other wireless speakers convert to analog too early, allowing interference from cell phones and other radio sources to get amplified and sent to your ears.
Creating the world’s most durable Bluetooth speaker was no easy task, and in order to do so we had to think outside the box to find materials that would let you to take your music anywhere. Say hello to neodymium – this rare Earth element packs a punch and allowed us to build a huge speaker inside a small space. The high powered neodymium magnets for the tweeters and woofers act as a type of protection in the form of a voice coil – a hollow cylinder that moves up and down in relation to the neodymium magnet. Fugoo proudly boasts an IP rating of IP67 –the 6 indicating how dust proof a product is (out of a possible 6) and the 7 indicating the level of water resistance (out of a possible of 8). But what does this all mean? Well, by receiving the maximum rating of a 6 in terms of dust resistance, this ensures that you Fugoo Bluetooth speaker is totally protected against dust, dirt, and mud. The second digit addresses the level of water resistance and ensures that your Fugoo Bluetooth speaker will still be cranking tunes even if it’s submerged in up to one meter of water.
